Jean M. Gisriel, beloved resident of Penn National died on January 26, 2020 at her home. She was a highly intelligent, witty, interesting and kind woman.
Jean was an educator who taught in New Jersey schools before becoming an administrator at the prestigious Madeira School in Washington, D.C.
A single woman, she spent her retirement years golfing, traveling the world, embroidering and entertaining her friends. She had an extensive collection of both fine and costume jewelry and souvenir’s from around the world and antiques, silver and artwork.
Her beautiful clothes have been donated to Dress To a Tea and Menno Haven’s Treasure Chest. Her books were donated to Legal Services Book Sale.
Her beautiful unusual jewelry (over 500 pcs) will be sold by lots on Friday, Sept 18, starting at 5:00 pm along with costume clothes, travel souvenir’s, embroidery and pocket books. Furniture, antiques and household items will be sold on Saturday, Sept 19 starting at 9:00 am.
Her entire estate was bequeathed to the Central Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg, PA
