148 Believed to be a very scarce Ed Cummings whole wicker fishing creel made for the VL&A Sporting Shop of Chicago, ILL. This creel was owned by William “Bill” Britton who was a local Chambersburg resident and Chief Fish Warden for the PA Fish Commission out of Harrisburg. (see obituary clipping inside creel). This creel is also in excellent condition with NO breaks in the wicker and still has the original wooden “lock” in top lid.

Since water and paper are not a good combination there are not a lot around anymore and those that are, are often in poor condition. This is an especially interesting piece of local history as it was from a Chambersburg resident.
